Found it outside of a JC Penny
Looking for snacks but I didn’t have any
What do you feed a 20 foot giraffe?

It towers high above a lot of us
Especially my 2 ton hippopotamus
It’s preposterous
What do you do with a 20 foot giraffe?

Does it laugh when you scratch it underneath it’s 8 foot neck
Kick it’s feet and tell you “Stop! I’m finding it hard to breathe!”
Does it eat and chew leaves and shoots or past primavera?
I don’t know what I’ll do with you

As if I knew about gorillas
Is his favorite ice cream vanilla?
Gotta save some for my chinchilla

What’s a kid supposed to do?
Open up another great big zoo?
If it’s all the same to you
I’m finding it hard to feed
All these animals want a snack
Celery sticks and jelly bean packs
Don’t know how I’m gonna keep track
